Meet The Cast
Luke Draper (Quasimodo) is thrilled to be playing one of his dream roles as Quasimodo. He grew up loving the Disney film, and when the musical adaptation was released, Draper had his sights set on it, and knew he had to do this. When he is not on stage, Luke works at Clarke Eye Care Center here in Wichita Falls as an optician. Luke would like to thank his family, work family, and friends for always supporting him and cheering him on through any performance. Some roles you may have seen Luke in would be Buddy in Elf the Musical, Orin in Little Shop of Horrors, Princeton in Avenue Q, Tony in Disaster, and Davey in Newsies! While Luke normally is seen in comedic roles, he is excited to take on the challenge of Quasimodo and hopes to deliver heart, soul, passion and a message to anyone who is told they aren’t beautiful enough, or don’t fit the mold that others want to see, they couldn’t be more wrong. You are beautiful, inside and out, and you are enough. Just like Quasimodo.
Nicole Rhoads (Esmeralda) is a native of Texoma and absolutely loves being a part of this community. Nicole participates in many local artistic endeavors that give her the chance to perform in various avenues throughout Wichita Falls. She has performed in several Wichita Theatre productions as well, including The Little Mermaid, Shrek the Musical, Sister Act and North Texas Rising and a weekend feature in Newsies. She is a Registered Nurse of eight years, and most importantly, momma to her little man, Noah! Nicole is beyond honored and thrilled to portray Esmeralda in this fantastic and moving tale. See her dance to the rhythm of the tambourine!
Jim Hall (Dom Claud Frollo) is excited to return to the Wichita Theatre main stage in The Hunchback of Notre Dame. He currently works as the Chief Information Security Officer for Midwestern State University, has a long-time love of singing and performing. Jim headlines a show titled “Jim Hall and Friends” at the Wichita Theatre Stage 2 Dinner Theatre throughout the year and finds that, outside of his family, music is one of life’s greatest joys. He has appeared on the Wichita Theatre main stage in roles such as Walter Hobbs in Elf the Musical, Joseph Pulitzer in Newsies, George Banks in Mary Poppins the Musical, Frank Kell and J.D. McMahon in North Texas Rising, Old Deuteronomy in Cats, Curtis in Sister Act, King Triton in The Little Mermaid, George Bailey in It’s a Wonderful Life, the Marquis St. Evremond in A Tale of Two Cities, Kerchak the gorilla in Tarzan the Musical and Shrek in the Texoma debut of Shrek the Musical.
Ian Kirkpatrick (Phoebus De Martin) is a senior at Midwestern State University studying theatre and musical theatre. This is his first production with Wichita Theatre. Notable roles include Harker in Dracula, Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, and Stacee Jax in Rock of Ages. Ian would like to thank his fiancé and family for supporting him and Wichita Theatre for giving him this wonderful opportunity.
Mark Dudley (Clopin) is very involved at The Wichita Theatre. When not on stage, he is always ready to help behind the scenes. Mark is a teacher at McNiel Middle School and enjoys music, Broadway shows and traveling to Colorado. Some of his notable roles include Thomas Andrews in Titanic the Musical, Doc in West Side Story, and Miss Trunchbull in Matilda the Musical. He most recently was the music director in Peter Pan, a Musical Adventure.
Chris Crow (Jehan Frollo) is excited to be portraying Jehan Frollo. He is returning to the Wichita Theatre stage after previously appearing in Mary Poppins the Musical. Chris is a US Navy Veteran, who now works in Health and Human Services for the state of Texas. He spends his free time practicing his comedic chops, tending to his dogs and chickens, and building his collection of lightsabers. He would like to thank his wife, Hannah, and his entire family for their support and love.
Heather Phillips (Florika) is a graduate of University of Arizona, holding a BFA in Design and Technology, Emphasis in Lighting Design. She is a 4th grade teacher at Kate Burgess Elementary School. Previous roles include Tanya in Mamma Mia and Sound of Music. She is ecstatic to be a part of this amazing show.
Aidan Neely (Frederick) just completed his Junior year at Rider High School. He has been a part of 45 shows, both on stage and backstage, over the past 7 years. Most recently he played Captain Hook in Peter Pan. Some of his favorite roles include Nick Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Frederick Fleet in Titanic the Musical, and being a member of the ensemble in Mama Mia. Aidan is also the new prop master here at the Wichita Theatre. He would like to dedicate his performance to Luke Draper, who has been a brother to him throughout his entire journey in theatre.
Desmond Juarez (Official) is excited to participate in this production of Hunchback of Notre Dame. Desmond is currently the Orchestra teacher at Hirschi High School and Kirby Middle School, so it is easy to see how much he enjoys music. He has also been in a few operas and 1 musical, Back to the 80’s. He played flute in the pit orchestras for Pippin at his high school and Into the Woods at WTAMU. He would like to thank his family and friends for always supporting him.
Jamie Jo Morgan (Madame) This is Jamie Jo’s first production with Wichita Theatre, but she is no stranger to the stage. She attended Midwestern State University for Theatre and the University of Central Oklahoma for Music Theatre and Opera before deciding to go into education. When she is not teaching Talented and Gifted students coding and robotics, she’s spending time with her husband and two amazing daughters. She is thrilled to be playing the part of the Madame and is excited to be back on stage after a decade long break from performing.
Billy Brasfield (St. Aphrodisius) Audiences in the North Texas area have seen Billy Brasfield on stage in more than 40 productions. His many roles have included kings, animals, madmen, a prisoner, a captain, a backwoodsman, a preacher, an asylum director, a librarian, an inventor, a south Pacific plantation owner, a court jester, a phantom, a caliph, a master of ceremonies, an opera singer, a store owner, a stable manager, and a clown. Holding both bachelor’s and master’s degree in music from Midwestern State University, Billy also assists occasionally at the MSU Texas Music Dept as an adjunct professor in singing diction and stage direction in Opera Workshop and as an alumni artist. His favorite role is that of Nancy Brasfield’s husband which is currently in its 41st consecutive season.
