A Theatrical Presentation of the History

of Wichita Falls and North Texas

North Texas Rising will be one of the most unique live shows you will ever see. It will blend the true history and heritage of the North Texas region with showmanship, original musical numbers and a creative flair that is sure to please audiences.
Hosted by the irrepressible Spirit of Texas and featuring an ensemble cast of actors and actresses, dancers and masters of physical comedy, the show takes you on a time traveling journey from the days when the Wichita Indians roamed the land near the river, through the wild and rowdy cow town days, to the expansive vision and growth that occurred under Joseph Kemp and Frank Kell. The show rounds out with a rollicking depiction of the “oil boom” days, a salute to all the men and women who served at Sheppard Air Force Base, a hair-raising remembrance of the “terrible Tuesday” tornados, and ends as recognition of the true Spirit of Texas…the people of city and its neighboring towns.
Come celebrate! Live the days of the trials, the triumphs, the struggles, and the enduring heart of people who continue to be the reason for North Texas Rising!
