years ago at the Wichita Theatre:
The first production presented at the Wichita
Theatre when it opened in 1908 was a national touring show, "His Honor, The
Mayor", written by Charles Henry Meltzer and A. E. Lancaster. The play
originally opened at the Empire Theatre on Broadway in April of 1898 and starred
William H. Crane. This season marks the 100th Anniversary of the Wichita Theatre
& Opera House. Come help us celebrate this Texas Historic Landmark of family
entertainment.
