A PICTORIAL TOUR OF THE WICHITA THEATRE

The old style "Ceiling of lights" still greets theatre  patrons beneath the Wichita's big neon marquee, creating an atmosphere that is literally "electric"!

Vintage art-deco designs can be seen everywhere in the Wichita, from the front of the ticket booth to the floor of the main lobby.

Vintage recessed lamps illuminate hand painted designs on the auditorium ceiling.

Thin neon lights line the hand rails leading up and down from the balcony areas and grace the large walls of the auditorium.

More recessed lighting in the upstairs lobby and the large hand painted designs directly above the audiences head!

Greenery in the foyer leading up from main lobby to the balcony area, and the "portal" doors through which thousands of North Texas residents have passed to see great entertainment for many, many years......and continue to do so.

*Come and see the beautiful and historic Wichita Theatre for yourself as we present an outstanding line-up of great family entertainment! And read more about the history of this great entertainment center in the book "Grand Old Texas Theaters".
